My before and after photos really show the improvements that the Invisalign has made to my teeth and smile. I’m absolutely thrilled with the results. I must admit that after years of suffering in my teens with braces & train-tracks, I was reluctant and somewhat dreading the thought of going through braces again, especially when my reasons this time round were more cosmetic. Movements in my teeth had meant that I’d become self-conscious of my smile again, and I was afraid that my teeth would continue to move / disimprove unless I did something about it.

A friend recommended you guys so I went along to the free consultation. Having discussed the treatments, I went away and did a bit of research myself on the product & price. I decided that Invisalign seemed like the ideal route for me. The fact that Cork City Dental’s price for the Invisalign treatment was by far the best out there also helped seal the deal for me!

I’m so glad that I went with Invisalign and I have to say that this time around with braces was a breeze by comparison to when I was younger. The Invisalign were so discreet that I didn’t once feel self-conscious and often forgot I had them on! Many of my friends & family never even knew I was wearing braces. The retainers were really easy to get used to and my treatment time just flew by. I’ve happily been recommending them to anyone who’s admired my new smile!

I am so happy with the results after wearing the 6 month braces. I have to admit at the start it was a bit challenging trying to eat and my mouth could get sore from time to time but it was worth every bit of it, time and money. I heard about Invisalign on the local radio station and was impressed that they offered a free consultation, as I had been looking for a tooth straightening option I was interested.

Upon consultation Maria (my dentist) was very pleasant, gentle and friendly. She answered all of my questions and explained to me the full process of Invisalign. She gave me plenty of time to decide if I wanted to go ahead with the treatment.

As soon as I had made my decision I was invited for an appointment. This was to take the x-ray and “impressions”, the imprint of your mouth and teeth.

A couple of weeks later once my aligners had been custom made I returned to have the attachments fitted. This was a tricky job and didn’t taste so good, but Maria made the job look and feel easy. I had to have a few more attachments than expected on the front teeth to assist the movement, and this took me back a little, but after a couple of days I got used to the new feeling and didn’t take any notice. Neither did anyone else and this helped to put me at ease. Michelle, the dental nurse, kindly called to check up on me and see if I was ok the next day. That was a nice gesture and made me feel good.

You really need to persist with the aligners. It does take a while to get used to and get the hang of taking them in and out to eat. Eat a lot when you take them out. Snacking becomes ruled out as it’s time consuming to clean your teeth and attachments after eating. You may feel slight pain at the beginning of a new set every two weeks but this disappears after a couple of days.

As soon as you see movement within your teeth it makes you feel rewarded for all the hard work!

Throughout my whole treatment Maria and Michelle at 4 Lavitt’s Key Cork, were very kind and accommodating.

In the 6 months it took to complete my treatment, I was amazed at the final result and how quickly they moved into position. I am very pleased with my results. It’s been practically pain free and unnoticeable.

I would recommend Invasilign and 4 Lavitt’s Key to any age group. It’s money well spent.
