Composite Bonding
Composite Bonding or Dental Bonding is the least invasive of cosmetic dentistry techniques. A composite resin is shade matched and attached to your cleaned and etched tooth and hardened with a UV light. It is shaped and highly polished to blend with your natural tooth. It can be used to fix chips, fractures, close gaps and change the shape of your tooth. When the full front surface of your tooth is bonded it is known as a composite veneer.
Composite bonding is a very good option for closing small gaps between teeth. Either for a single gap or multiple small gaps between all the teeth, you can achieve amazing results with bonding.
Front teeth are often what concerns our clients the most. Composite bonding is an ultimate way to treat the problems associated with your front teeth. Moreover, this treatment does not require months of waiting. It is sculpted on your tooth then shaped and hardened via a UV or laser light in the first sitting. Bonding involves the preparation of a tooth-coloured material used to fill in unsightly gaps. There is absolutely no invasion of the tooth surface at all in most cases. Only one single visit is usually required and bonding can last several years. You will leave Cork City Dental with a bright smile!
